Refunds & Cancellations
How to stop paying for SubAudit, and what happens to your money and your access when you do.
1. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time, with no cancellation fee. Open Account and choose Manage / Cancel Plan. That takes you to our payment provider's secure billing page, where you can cancel and keep a receipt by email.
Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep the access you have already paid for until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to the free plan. Your records stay where they are — nothing is deleted when a subscription ends.
If you cancel a yearly plan part-way through, the plan runs to the end of that year rather than stopping immediately. We do not charge an early-exit fee.
2. Your 14-day right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have the right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days of the day it starts, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You do not need to give a reason.
Tell us within those 14 days by emailing support@subaudit.app from the address on your account, or by using the button in Account. We will confirm in writing and refund the payment you made.
Because SubAudit is a digital service you can use immediately, we ask you to agree at checkout that the service starts straight away. If you cancel inside the 14-day window after using the service, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the part of the period you actually used — but we do not apply that deduction to a first month cancelled within the window in the ordinary case. If we do deduct anything, we will tell you the figure and how we reached it before refunding.
This right is in addition to anything else in this policy. It does not affect your other statutory rights, including your rights if the service is faulty or not as described.
3. Refunds
We refund to the original payment method through Stripe. We aim to approve a refund within 2 working days of agreeing it. Your bank then needs time to show it — usually 5 to 10 working days, and occasionally longer for some card issuers or overseas banks.
Within 14 days
You have the right to cancel and be refunded. Ask by email or from your account and we will action it.
After 14 days
Renewals are not refundable by default, but if something has gone wrong — a duplicate charge, a failed cancellation, a billing error — contact us and we will put it right.
Faulty or unavailable
If the service does not work as described, you may be entitled to a refund or a price reduction under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Tell us and we will resolve it.
Extra OCR pages
Prepaid page packs are refundable if unused. If pages have already been used, we refund the unused portion where we can identify it.
4. What happens to your access after a refund
A refund ends the paid plan it paid for. Your account moves to the free plan, and paid features stop. Your documents and records are not deleted — you can still sign in and export what the free plan allows, and you can upgrade again at any time.
If you were refunded for a paid plan but your subscription was still active, we cancel it at the same time so you are not charged again. If you ever see a charge you believe should have stopped, email us and we will investigate and refund it.
5. How to ask for a refund
Signed in? Open Account and use Request a refund. It writes the email for you, including your account details, so nothing gets lost in translation.
Otherwise email support@subaudit.app with:
- the email address on your SubAudit account;
- the date and amount of the payment;
- what you would like us to do — cancel, refund, or both.
We reply within 2 working days. If we need more information to find your payment, we will ask once rather than repeatedly.
6. If something goes wrong
Tell us first — almost everything is fixed faster by email than by a chargeback. If we cannot resolve your complaint, and you paid by card, you may be able to raise a dispute with your card issuer. You can also escalate to Citizens Advice or Trading Standards. Our full complaints process is on our Contact & Complaints page.
